Headaches and new jobs...

So for the past few months I have been suffering from major headaches... Migraines sometimes as I get to the point where I can't even see. I went to the doctor who said she thinks it is because of how tense my muscles are in my shoulders and neck. She has a point in that I have had chiropractors and massage therapists have said there isn't much they can do to fix the problem either no matter how hard they tried. The thing is I have suffered from the tight muscles since high school and never had my head hurt this bad. So are they getting worse or is my pain tolerance becoming less? Anyway she gave me these little blue pills to take at night to try and help loosen up my muscles so that my headaches go away. They worked for a while with the downside that if I didn't get a full nights rest I was very drowsy the next morning. It was hard trying to get use to that and Mike is great in that he stepped up in getting the kids ready with me having trouble waking up. So for a little while I thought everything was going to be ok but again I am back to having these blinding pain headaches where it hurts to even move. I am beginning to wonder if there is something more wrong but half of me thinks I am just paranoid. I am in tat I have a huge fear of getting cancer since it runs so strong in both sides of my family but could my headaches really be coming from that? Could it be because I am so over weight right now? Could it be that I am under soo much stress right now with everything that my muscles are to tense for even the medication to help? I need to go back to the doctor about it but to be honest I am nervous about it. One I have a new doctor because mine moved back to Novo Scotia, and two I don't want to find out it is something more. It is a hard possition to be on, but I can't keep living like this.. it is getting harder to be the mom I want to be with my kids because of the pain. So doctor here I come... wish me luck.

As for other news.. I have my first photography job. Ok not really a job in the sense that I will be getting paid.. nope I am not making 1 penny on this job, but I will be getting experience and something for my portfolio. That is of course if I go into a career of photography. I haven't taken any official schooling for this so I am scared that I might mess things up. It is wedding pictures I will be taking for a friend. I think I have some okay skill at capturing tose special moments and I will be doing it all day long. maybe I should get a second memory card. I have never done anything like this before I am praying that I can capture their wedding day memories like how I would want mine done. I have 1 month to study up on lighting ideas and possitions and other things that might be important to capture and the best way to do it. If anyone has some suggestions I would love to hear them.

On a cute note of the day, Thomas has been growing sunflower seedsz for the past little while. They are from a sunflower we had last year and we are so excited to see them growing. the cutest part is watching and helping Tommy sing to the every morning when he gives them a little water. He sings the song Mr. Sun because they are sun flowers with a few wiggles tunes tossed in. It is soo cute to watch and now Claudia has joined in. Maybe I will catch a video one of these days and post it... for now here is a picture of Tommy singing to his little flowers.

Back on line and catching up...

So it has been a few weeks of hair pulling crazy madness here with no internet. I didn't realize how much I used it for everyday things like keeping track of my finances as well as I did. Don't get me wrong, the cut back did help for what we needed it for but I am SOOOO glad to be back on. I really missed being able to have that chance to relax so that I could handle the everyday stress having 6 kids brings. They are great kids but after a while you need some adult time to get past all the kid time you are going through. It is nice to have my yard back and snow free!!!! The kids are spending more time outside so that makes inside quiet... but as to all good things there are some negative to balance it out, yep more places I need to keep clean. I love yard work but just don't have the time I need to really make my home look great... or even good for that matter sometimes. I have been trying for 3 years to put a garden in the back so I can grow my own veggies but have yet to even pull up the sod!! my goal is to get to that going or done by next weekend.. wish me luck!!

We had fun at Easter but I missed having the 2 week vacation. The school spilt it up into a week for spring and then a 4 day long weekend for Easter. I think it was harder on the kids that way than it would of been to get them back to school after the 2 weeks. We still had fun, but it was harder on the kids in regards to school. On the Saturday we cleaned the yard up. The missionaries came over to help and it went by soo fast. We still have the bags of garbage in a pile to be taken to the dump but that will be gone as soon as the van gets up and running this week. On Sunday the Easter Bunny hide some bags of goodies in the yard for the kids to find as well as a bunch of Eggs. Cloe has a nose for chocolate (as most girls do) and found some right away. The kids enjoyed themselves but we did have a few tears. Sam did not want to come out right away and when he did he had a moment about not finding that many because they were all mostly found. The others said it would be fun to hunt again so Mike and I hide the eggs again. Claudia stayed outside with us and followed behind Mike picking up the eggs he hid.. it was soo cute. The kids hunted again with a few more tears but more laughs. They ate all their goodies and all bad things were forgotten. It was nice to have Mike home for the day as he usually works on Sundays.

It was nice also that during this past month I found some time to take a girls night with my sister and friend Jennifer S. We saw the local Improv group and had a blast watching them. But the adventure getting there was intriguing and just sad funny. I took a couple of pics on my phone that I am posting with this story.. Tami can hate me later while she is laughing at the memory. So we are driving to the theatre after dropping the kids off with my mom and I we can't remember what street the restaurant is on so we head a few streets extra over and hope to see the restaurant as we drive back down the cross street. As we head up the one way street of second ave we get stopped at a light where a police officer drives by and looks in the window where he can see us sitting WITHOUT our seat belts on because we were in such a rush after dropping the kids off late. The officer turns around right there and pulls us over and as we do that we both quickly put out seat belt on and the officer walks over to Tami's window and out fingers are crossed that he will be nice.. and he was.. to me. Yep he couldn't tell that mine was off but he was sure Tami's was so he gave her a ticket.... well they upped the amount and this is Tami seeing it for the first time...
I love you Tami and I am sorry I didn't confess that mine was off too, but I have more people to feed.. I will make it up to you later.. promise ;). So we drive to 2 blocks left to the restaurant and park in a alley. I get out of the car and lock my door and realise that Tommy had rolled his window down a little and I didn't want Tami's car stolen AGAIN, so I ask her to unlock the doors so I can roll it up and she goes to get the keys only to find them not there... yep in our rush to get out of the car and make sure we have the cameras (which we didn't even use!) she left her keys in the ignition... It was like this "can anything else go wrong?" moment. We tried and tried to break back in but the little bit Tommy rolled down the window did not help us get the door unlocked right away...
We left it for a while with the hopes that the window being down slightly didn't cancel out her theft insurance. I think our good luck was that when I got out of the car I gave all my change to the guy standing there in the alley and he was kinda still there when we came out of the restaurant and I think he watched Tami's car for us. Jenn gave us a ride back to my house where we grabbed my huggo mop and we went back to Tami's car where we stuck across the car through the window and pushed the unlock button. Yep fun times for us when we go out.. maybe this is why we don't do girls night very often... something always happens. LOL!

On a few other notes.. I have taken on more days at the flower shop for deliveries so I am now working there 6 days a week.. if there are deliveries those days and I have taken on a new way to scrapbook.. ok I have looked at it but haven't had time to really sit down and work on it but I will have a better chance of working with the digital pictures more than the paper ones I have been trying to do for years! Thanks to Julie for introducing me to Heritage Makers and if anyone who reads this wants to know more (if you don't already) her website is www.PrintedJewels.com go check it out.
Hmmm what else.... Oh we have a new swing set now. Our neighbors are moving back to Ontario and didn't want to take their swing set with them so they offered us theirs for free since Ben use to go over and help with their kids sometimes. They carried it from their yard across the street and lifted it over the fence. within 30 minutes of having it Claudia had walked into someone swinging 4 times and Tommy once. Poor kids but they caught on after that and Cloe has only had one more since then. It has been a huge hit in the house and has even become Sam's favorite reading spot.
Ben and Josh also signed up for the annual relay team races between schools. We always have a fun afternoon watching the kids run and show good sportsman ship no matter what place they come in. Claudia is old enough now that she actually enjoyed it this year and that made for some really fun pictures. She spent a lot of time learning how to cheer with Ben, eating her first stadium hotdog, and getting Josh to show her the ropes of running. Thomas had a blast playing on the bleachers, learning how to duck walk from Ben, and playing follow the leader. We all had a blast cheering for our favorite Team run. Everyone had fun even if our school came in second to last. But the best part was getting to friends from other schools and getting a break from work..school and other. Ohh and the biggest thing was Cloe Walking up the stairs there.. it was soo cute.

Haha Mike spilled Mustard and stuff on his shirt.

Well there is the short and long of this past month... hopefully I will be able to update again soon and not have soo much to post at once. Makes for better story telling too. Have a good one.. what ever that is.
