And now we present...

So for those of you that may actually read this silly little blog of mine have been waiting for the videos from the talent show and here they are!!!!!

So first up we have Sam and Matt with their magic show! Now these 2 practiced so hard and even though the teacher they called in for help bumbled up a little I think they did well!!! Sorry you can't hear them very well Sam said next year he will use the mic, he thought he would be ok this year. Also there is a video of a skateboarder before you get to Sam and Matt as Sam wanted to see but couldn't since he was setting up so his Awesome Auntie recorded it for him along with his video. Please enjoy!

Wasn't he amazing!! He has already started on his idea for next year.

Next we have Ben who has been tinkering with the piano for the past year. I wish we could afford to put him in formal piano lessons as he has some raw talent he obviously inherited from his dad. Anyways this is the song he picked to learn on his own for the show. It was one of the little Disney songs I use to sing when we would dance around the house when he was a little toddler like Cloe and he has started singing it to her. I would like to say thank-you to Vivian, my VT who did help him with a couple of pointers a few weeks before the performance. Please enjoy this short little song.

He is working on a James Bond song now for fun and trying to learn a hymn so that he can work towards playing them all before his mission he says.

Well hope you enjoyed our small little talents and that they brought a smile to your face like they do mine every time I see them.

The Worth of Woman

So today I have to give a talk in Sacrament Meeting on the Weekday Relief Society Meeting. In doing my research for this topic I discovered how much I really love watching, listening and reading the talks by Julie B.Beck. It's not that I didn't like them before but I was always hopping here and there and never really sat down to really listen as much as I wanted to. So I did that this week as her talk "Relief Society: A Sacred Work" was what I used for some of my material. I also came across this talk she gave called "And upon the Handmaids in Those Days Will I Pour Out My Spirit" that really helped to and so I thought I would share it all with you.  Please do enjoy and feel up lifted as well... no matter your situation, as we all have our struggles and need a spiritual boost.

(P.S) I know I promised the video of the kids at the talent show next... just have to get them from Tami and they will be posted here)

Talent and More Talent

So life has been so busy over here in our home. Year end field trips and activities but the one that has the house all a buzz this year is the year end talent show at the school. They do it every year but none of my kids have ever been interested in performing in it. It's not that they don't have talent but they are not interested in being the center of attention... that way anyway. But this year is different! Ben signed up to do a piano piece. Now he is self taught because money is tight, and he and his dad don't always see eye to eye on how do this stuff. One of my visiting teachers has been helping him these past 3 weeks to help him with some technique. She may be able to take him on as a student after this is all over which will be great! Even more exciting is Sam and Matt are going to be doing a Magic show together! Yes that's right I said SAM! My challenge that hates being on stage in front of all those people because it cause his head to work a million miles a minute. He wanted to do it and signed up for it. There have been some set backs but he has worked through them. He had 6 tricks he was told to take it down to 3 then to 2. It was hard but he did it. He worked out a script and has been practicing... as much as he feels and with a small push a little more. We are excited for tomorrow afternoon and for all those who can not be there to watch in person we will be taking pictures as well as video to share. Until then Sam wanted me to post he 2 new favorites from yesterdays "America's Got Talent". The first one is one that touch his little golden heart and has him in tears because he loved it soo much.  The second is what he hopes he will one day be able to do. Please enjoy!

I heart Face Week 24 "All About Babies"

I Love this weeks theme and had SOOO many choices of great pictures of my daughter to choose from, But I wanted to celebrate Fathers Day as well as so I settled on my favorite picture of all time of My Husband and my daughter when she was only 4 months old. It was his first fathers day with having a Daddy's little girl and I wanted to give him a special gift. My friend had given me this amazing red dress as a baby gift and I took that dress and made him get all dressed up and then hung a blanket on the wall by our front window and made him dance with her to the song "Lady in Red" It was just so perfect that the picture still makes me smile. Please enjoy and don't forget to head over to I Heart Faces To check out all of the other amazing baby pictures by others.

America's Got Talent

So the kids and I have a few shows that we love to watch together. Claudia is addicted to all the dancing shows like Dancing with the stars, and So you think you can Dance (both US and Canada). Sam's favorite summertime shows are Wipeout and America's got Talent. Last year he called the winner from the auditions. Well this Year has had an amazing send off but I have to say I just fell in love with guy and his act this week! No predictions from Sam yet as to how far he will go as he waits until all the auditions are done, but I think even if he doesn't win, he has an amazing future. Anyways as Promised to Sam I have found the Youtube video and will be posting it for all of those who read this... (not that I have an comments lately to say anyone does, but I have hopes) can watch this guys amazing talent and enjoy it as well.
